KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia is on track to achieve its 2018 sales target of 109,000 units, with 51,354 units sold in the first six months of the year.
In a statement on Thursday, Honda Malaysia said its sales contributed 17.7 per cent to the country’s total industry volume (TIV) as at June 2018.Honda Malaysia maintained its number one spot in the non-national segment and second in overall TIV in the first half of the year.
“Honda Malaysia received the highest number of bookings in its history in June, with a record-breaking 20,000 units.
“The highest contributor to the total number of bookings obtained in the month was the City (model) at 36 per cent, followed by CR-V and Civic at 14 per cent each,” it said.
Honda Malaysia said June’s outstanding sales performance can be partially attributed to the zero-rated Good and Services Tax, and on-going festive promotions. – Bernama
